The Assam government has embarked on a transformative journey to address land rights through the launch of Mission Basundhara 3.0. Announced at a press conference by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, the initiative aims to issue land passbooks to all landowners within two years.
Launched at Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra in Guwahati, the mission seeks to provide services initially missing in Basundhara 1.0 and 2.0, striving to resolve legacy problems once and for all. Sarma highlighted its significance, noting substantial legislative and technological changes required to implement reforms.
Amidst affirmations of BJP's prospects in the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections, CM Sarma expressed hope for a smooth mission rollout and anticipated cooperation from Assam's indigenous population. The elections are scheduled for two phases, concluding on November 23 with vote counting. (ANI)
