In a significant development for Guyana's energy sector, BB Energy and JE Energy have been appointed to market parts of the nation's crude oil production in the next year. This announcement came from the South American country's Ministry of Natural Resources.

The tender for the oil marketing contract attracted substantial international interest, receiving 27 bids from prominent players in the energy sector.

Among the notable bidders were Shell, TotalEnergies, and Chevron, alongside other major companies like ADNOC, Gunvor, Vitol, PetroChina, CNOOC, and Eni.
