Congress Unveils Candidates for Maharashtra and Jharkhand Polls
The Congress party has announced a list of candidates for the impending assembly elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand, revealing four names for Maharashtra and two for Jharkhand as part of the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance. Elections will occur in November, with results to be declared on November 23.

In a strategic move ahead of the assembly elections, the Congress party has unveiled its list of candidates, naming six individuals for Maharashtra and Jharkhand. The list features four candidates for Maharashtra and two for Jharkhand.
In Maharashtra, the party has nominated Madhurimaraje Malojiraje Chhatrapati from Kolhapur North, Sajid Khan Mannan Khan from Akola West, Heera Devasi from Colaba, and Chetan Narote from Solapur City Central. So far, the Congress has disclosed candidates for 102 of the 288 assembly seats.
The Congress, collaborating within the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance alongside Shiv Sena (UBT) and Sharad Pawar's NCP, has collectively declared candidates for 268 seats. Elections in Maharashtra are slated for November 20, with vote tallying on November 23.
The party also announced its final lineup for Jharkhand, listing Sweta Singh from Bokaro and Ajay Dubey from Dhanbad as its candidates. In total, 30 candidates have been declared for the two-phase elections in Jharkhand, scheduled for November 13 and November 20, with vote counting on November 23.
