In a strategic move to counter North Korea's missile ambitions, South Korea announced on Thursday the imposition of new export controls. These regulations are aimed at materials critical for producing solid-fuel missiles.
The South Korean foreign ministry detailed that 15 specific items, vital yet challenging for North Korea to manufacture independently, such as fuselages and combustion tubes, are now under strict export control.
This action is expected to fortify the sanctions network designed to limit North Korea's ballistic advancements by strengthening existing international export restrictions, according to the ministry's statement.
