In a heart-wrenching development from north Delhi's Surender Colony, authorities reported a suspected case of suicide where a couple was found hanging inside their residence. The victims have been identified as Nitesh, 32, and his 28-year-old wife.
The couple, who had been married for five years, are survived by their four-year-old son. Deputy Commissioner of Police (North), Raja Banthia, confirmed that no external injuries were observed on the bodies, and no suicide note was found at the scene. A PCR call alerted the police to the incident early on Wednesday morning.
Nitesh worked with the Delhi Jal Board, while his wife owned a beauty parlour. The family resided on the first floor of a four-storey building with Nitesh's parents living on the ground floor. Their son discovered the tragic scene during the night and alerted his grandparents. The police have confiscated the couple's mobile phones and sent the bodies for autopsy as the investigation continues.
