Chhattisgarh Cabinet Unveils Key Bills and Support for Farmers

In a recent cabinet meeting chaired by Chhattisgarh's Chief Minister, important decisions, including the approval of the Chhattisgarh Appropriation Bill-2025 and the Chhattisgarh Democracy Fighter Honour Bill-2025, were announced. Measures to support farmers with quality seeds and financial backing for the State Marketing Federation were also approved.

Chhattisgarh's Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao briefed the press on pivotal developments from the cabinet meeting overseen by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai. He revealed that the draft of the Chhattisgarh Appropriation Bill-2025 secured approval for presenting the Third Supplementary Estimates of the 2024-2025 fiscal year in the Assembly.

Sao emphasized the expansion of exempt institutions under Rule 4 of the Chhattisgarh State Store Purchase Rules-2002 to ensure farmers access better seeds. According to the plan, the Seed Corporation will prioritize procurement from registered local seed producers before seeking additional supplies from government undertakings and other agencies.

Additional initiatives included the approval of the Chhattisgarh Democracy Fighter Honour Bill-2025 and the Governor's address for the legislative session. Furthermore, an extra government guarantee of 3300 crore rupees for the State Marketing Federation was granted, along with the approval of the Indian Stamp Act Amendment to regulate stamp duty rates.
