Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Monday extended an invitation to private investors to capitalize on the vast opportunities presented by the renewable energy sector in the state.
Speaking at the 'Renewed Madhya Pradesh' event during the MP Global Investors Summit (GIS) 2025, Yadav emphasized the state's crucial role in India's ambition to achieve 500 GW of power from non-fossil sources by 2030. The Chief Minister called for partnerships, citing substantial investments and government support.
The initiatives include the provision of solar water pumps to farmers and agreements to supply green electricity at reduced rates to the Railways, as part of ongoing commitments to renewable energy. Key agreements were signed, including a significant power purchase deal with Waaree Energies and Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Ltd (RUMSL) for 170 MW. Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the summit, which drew over 25,000 registrations and included participation from global delegates and top Indian industrialists like Gautam Adani.
