Maha Shivaratri: A Celebration of Devotion and Unity Across India

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath actively monitored the arrangements of the Maha Kumbh festival from a dedicated control room at the Gorakhnath Temple on Wednesday. Devotees converged in large numbers at Prayagraj's Triveni Sangam for the final 'Snan', aligning with the auspicious Maha Shivaratri occasion.

In the spirit of the sacred festival, Yogi Adityanath performed the Rudrabhishek ceremony dedicated to Lord Shiva at Gorakhnath Temple. Expressing his devotion on social media platform X, Adityanath stated, "On Mahashivratri, the festive occasion of reverence to Lord Mahadev, I performed Rudrabhishek and prayed for the welfare of all living beings."

The Chief Minister also engaged with citizens during a Janta darshan session at the temple, addressing public grievances. Concurrently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent his Mahashivratri greetings, aspiring for national prosperity and wellness. The Prime Minister's message on X emphasized the festival's spiritual significance and its role in pledging toward a developed India. Union Home Minister Amit Shah echoed similar sentiments, describing the day as a spiritual, introspective festival symbolizing the divine union of Shiva and Shakti.
