Tensions Flare as 12 AAP MLAs Suspended from Delhi Assembly

In a significant escalation of political tensions, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Delhi Assembly Leader of Opposition Atishi on Thursday alleged that police officials, acting on directives from the Speaker, prevented AAP MLAs from entering the Delhi Vidhan Sabha premises.

Atishi termed the move as unprecedented, questioning the deployment of police personnel to enforce the ban on the MLAs, who were reportedly barred from the Assembly grounds for a three-day sitting.

Meanwhile, BJP representatives, including MLA Satish Upadhyay, expressed support for the suspension, stressing the importance of maintaining order within the legislative body.
