Tragedy unfolded in Madhya Pradesh's Katni district as two young sisters drowned and another remains missing after a morning escapade in the Narmada canal. The local police confirmed the recovery of Siddhi Patel, aged 12, and her older sister Anshika Patel, 14. Efforts to locate Siddhi's younger sibling, Manvi, 8, continue.
According to Dinesh Tiwari, in charge of Umariyapan police station, the ill-fated adventure saw the girls venture too far into the canal near Umariyapan village, leading to the tragic events. Responding swiftly, the villagers notified authorities, prompting a rescue mission aided by divers.
The community remains hopeful yet anxious as the search intensifies for little Manvi. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers hidden beneath seemingly tranquil waters.
