The aircraft landed safely at Mumbai airport at 10:25 AM local time, with Air India maintaining full cooperation with security agencies.
The spokesperson for Air India confirmed, 'An in-flight security threat was detected, prompting the necessary protocols to be carried through for everyone's safety. The affected flight has been rescheduled for 5:00 AM on March 11, 2025. Meanwhile, passengers are provided accommodations, meals, and assistance.'
In an unrelated event, another Air India flight, AI126 from Chicago to Delhi, returned to Chicago due to a technical issue on March 6, 2025.
