Madhya Pradesh Unveils 9th Tiger Reserve, Madhav Tiger Reserve

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will inaugurate the state's 9th Tiger Reserve, Madhav Tiger Reserve, in Shivpuri district. The event coincides with the death anniversary of Madhavrao Scindia. The reserve aims to boost wildlife conservation and tourism while offering employment opportunities. Two tigers will be introduced at the launch.

On Monday, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will inaugurate the Madhav Tiger Reserve, marking the state's 9th such reserve. The launch, occurring on the late Madhavrao Scindia's death anniversary, sees Yadav releasing a tiger and a tigress into the reserve, located in Shivpuri district.

Madhav Tiger Reserve spans 375.233 square kilometers, comprising reserved, protected, and revenue forest areas. Yadav, in a conversation with ANI, expressed enthusiasm over the initiative, stating it will enhance wildlife conservation efforts and open new avenues for tourism. He highlighted the promising impact of the Cheetah project in the region.

Receiving backing from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Forest Minister Bhupendra Yadav, the reserve is expected to stimulate employment and broaden conservation strategies. Currently, the reserve houses five tigers, with the addition of two more increasing their number to seven.
