Speaker R. Selvam oversaw the prior 5th session on February 12, where additional expenditure permissions were issued before adjourning. The current session culminates with a presentation by Chief Minister N Rangasamy on the 2025-2026 budget, underscoring the government's priorities and financial strategies.
Thanks to Central Government support, the Assembly now features portable computers for efficient access to documents and communication, a move complemented by training and necessary infrastructure. Union Minister L Murugan emphasized that the allocation of Rs 3,432 crores, including Rs 1,450 crores for JIPMER and Rs 186 crores for water projects, reflects a comprehensive plan for Puducherry's development.
