Maharashtra Leads in Vision 2047: Ajit Pawar's Ambitious Budget Unveiled

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Ajit Pawar, during his budget presentation for the financial year 2025, highlighted the state's strategic role in achieving India's developmental vision by 2047. Pawar affirmed Maharashtra's leading position in foreign direct investment, essential for realizing the Prime Minister's ambitious goal.
He announced significant economic commitments, revealing that at Davos, 56 companies signed MoUs with Maharashtra, promising investments totaling Rs 15.72 lakh crore and generating employment for 16 lakh people. This remarkable influx of investments underscores Maharashtra's robust financial landscape and proactive economic strategies.
Further emphasizing Maharashtra's economic prowess, Pawar noted the state's 15.4 percent contribution to the national GDP. Plans to transform the Mumbai Metropolitan Region into a growth hub with seven new business centers were also unveiled. This budget, the first under the newly-formed Mahayuti government, upholds its commitment to enhancing citizens' livelihoods and Maharashtra's prominence on a global scale.
