Hindustan Zinc Boosts Green Initiatives with New Renewable Energy Deal

On Tuesday, Vedanta group company Hindustan Zinc Ltd announced a strategic partnership with Serentica Renewables, securing up to 530 MW of green energy supply.
This Power Delivery Agreement significantly boosts Hindustan Zinc's renewable energy capacity from 450 MW, raising its green energy mix to over 70 percent of total power use.
CEO Arun Misra emphasized their climate strategy, targeting a 70 percent carbon emission reduction and aiming for net zero by mid-century. The venture will establish new solar, wind, and energy storage projects nationwide, underscoring a commitment to sustainability.
