Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has revealed the state's supplementary budget for the financial year 2024-25, totaling a substantial Rs 17,053.78 crore. This encompasses Rs 15,776.19 crore for State Schemes and Rs 1,277.59 crore for Centrally Sponsored Schemes.

The budget earmarks significant funds for repaying Ways and Means Advances, supporting power sector initiatives, and bolstering transport operations. Among the primary expenditures, Rs 10,137.07 crore is allocated for loan repayments, much of it going towards power subsidies and the restoration of facilities damaged by monsoon.

Additional funding supports a wide array of sectors, including education, health, infrastructure, and rural development. Notably, allocations are directed toward Himachal Road Transport Corporation subsidies, the purchase of electric buses, tourism, relief for natural calamities, and the development of medical and educational infrastructure.
