NTPC Expands Solar Capacity with New Shajapur Project
NTPC has commissioned a 50 MW unit of the Shajapur solar project in Madhya Pradesh. This addition boosts the group's total capacity to over 77,461 MW. The initial 55 MW unit began operation in late 2024. NTPC REL is a subsidiary of India's largest power company, NTPC Limited.

NTPC has successfully launched a 50 MW solar unit at the Shajapur Solar Project in Madhya Pradesh, as revealed in a recent BSE filing.
This new unit raises NTPC's total installed and commercial energy capacity to an impressive 77,461.50 MW.
Part I of the Shajapur project, producing 55 MW, was operational as of November 2024. As a subsidiary of the largest power generator in India, NTPC Limited, NTPC REL plays a significant role in advancing renewable energy under the Ministry of Power.
