Authorities in Indore are investigating an incident at a transgender facility where third-gender individuals allegedly forced entry and assaulted residents. The attack, captured by CCTV, has led to significant concern among the transgender community and a call for stringent actions.
A complaint was lodged by the management of 'Mera Kunba', a shelter home for transwomen. The complaint states that about 15 individuals, dressed in women's attire, forcibly entered the establishment, allegedly assaulting its transgender residents and threatening the facility's closure.
Nikunj Jain, director of the shelter, emphasized the need for swift legal action to ensure the safety of the residents who wish to integrate into society. Authorities are currently analyzing the CCTV footage and have assured appropriate measures following their investigation.
