The Tamil Nadu Disaster Response Force (TNDRF) orchestrated an extensive mock drill at Chennai port, part of a countrywide drive to gauge emergency preparedness and response efficacy. The exercise saw collaboration with diverse forces, including the Fire Department, National Cadet Corps (NCC), and medical and police teams, simulating evacuation and safety protocols.

As tensions with Pakistan soar, civil defence drills across India tested readiness for new threats following directives from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). Major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru partook in blackout exercises to evaluate local responses to security challenges. Residents gained vital knowledge on handling potential threats.

Coinciding with these drills, the Indian Armed Forces launched retaliatory strikes against terrorist sites in Pakistan, responding to an April terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir. Spearheaded by notable military officials, the operation successfully destroyed nine camps, avoiding civilian casualties, and underscored India's capability to act decisively against terrorism.
