Uttarakhand Hospitals on High Alert Amidst India-Pakistan Tensions

In response to rising India-Pakistan tensions, Uttarakhand hospitals are on high alert, cancelling staff leave and preparing thousands of beds. This comes as the Indian Army successfully neutralized Pakistani drone incursions near the border, ensuring civilian safety amidst ongoing military operations.

The Uttarakhand government, amidst escalating tensions with Pakistan, has instructed all state hospitals to remain on high alert. The directive includes cancellation of leaves for doctors and hospital staff as a precautionary measure.

Following the Central Health Ministry's orders, Health Secretary R Rajesh Kumar has thoroughly prepared with 12,000 hospital beds and ready ICUs and ventilators. With India's Operation Sindoor underway, vigilance continues along the borders with Pakistan, Nepal, and China. The sky over Doon was alive with Indian Air Force planes, catching the attention of residents between 1 am and 3 am.

Meanwhile, a large-scale counter-drone operation resulted in the Indian Army shooting down over 50 Pakistani drones along the Line of Control and International Border. Deployed across multiple regions like Udhampur and Pathankot, the Army deployed cutting-edge defence technology, a testament to India's formidable defence capabilities.

Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah acknowledged the incident on social media, with local residents reporting a tense night. Despite the intense engagement, no casualties were reported, underscoring the success of India's defensive efforts.
