The Haryana government has initiated measures to ensure the uninterrupted supply of essential commodities in light of circulating rumors about potential shortages. Food items, petrol, diesel, fodder, and other necessities are being closely monitored by deputy commissioners (DCs) and district food and supplies controllers (DFSCs).
A government spokesperson emphasized that there is no shortage, attributing the orders to rumors of hoarding. Authorities are scrutinizing the current stock and retail prices to prevent scarcity and price surges, particularly of essential goods like pulses, petrol, and LPG.
All petroleum dealers have been instructed to maintain maximum stock levels and work with district-level oil industry coordinators. Specific directives have been issued to prevent hoarding and black marketing of petrol products, especially given the ongoing military tension with Pakistan.
