Leaders from the global society, thousands of political and managers have attended the World Economic Forum in the town of Davos in Switzerland. The annual meeting kicks off on Tuesday, January 22, which is aimed to discuss solutions to global challenges despite the absence of some of the planet's key leaders.

President of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro will hold the first keynote speech of the World Economic Forum annual meeting in the afternoon. Since Jair Bolsonaro has sworn in as the Head of State of Brazil in January 2019, it is his first international appearance. He has taken the keynote slot from United States President Donald Trump who is not attending the annual meet. He is likely to present his nation as an opportunity for ultra-liberal economic policies and foreign investors. He is considered like Donald Trump as climate change sceptic and his election already raised fears among environmentalists that he would relax restrictions on deforestation.

The official theme for World Economic Forum 2019 is 'Globalisation 4.0: Shaping a Global Architecture in the Age of the Fourth Industrial Revolution'. This is a vision set to interconnect the world to tackle the economic inequality that goes alongside globalized trade and production.

On the other hand, constant climate change is also a major subject to be discussed at World Economic Forum 2019. The year 2019 has not commenced with a good omen for the planet. And the previous year already recorded as the fourth hottest year since records started, and the second costliest year ever for extreme weather impacts.

The Climate Change's Special Report from the Intergovernmental Panel of the United Nation was a final wakeup call in late 2018. It revealed that we have only 12 years left to maintain global warming with 1.5 degree Celsius if we want to avoid the fatal climate change. Two main questions arise from here (which will be discussed at World Economic Forum 2019) – One, are we able to meet this short deadline, and if yes, how? And secondly, if the solution was positive for question one, does it mean we all will be well with our planet?

This is a high time to gather for the global leaders at one podium, which is what they are doing in Davos to find solutions to challenge the constant climate change. Literally, there is no time to stand still and watch whilst the nature around us burns.
