Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya hailed the historic police recruitment surge in the state, with thousands of young individuals seizing the opportunity to join the force for the first time.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who handed out appointment letters to the new recruits, remarked upon the youth's faith in a corruption-free hiring process, asserting that jobs are now awarded on merit. Maurya highlighted that in the past eight years, the state government has facilitated over 8.5 lakh government job placements.
Addressing recruits in Lucknow, Amit Shah noted the Uttar Pradesh Police's growth under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, emphasizing improved law and order. Separately, Maurya expressed condolences for victims of the AI-171 plane accident, offering prayers for the grieving families.
