The Indian Youth Congress's Karnataka Unit has taken legal action against RSS General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale, submitting a formal complaint at the Sheshadripuram Police Station. The complaint addresses Hosabale's recent statements concerning the possible removal of 'socialist' and 'secular' from the Preamble of the Indian Constitution.

These comments were made during an event commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Emergency. Hosabale's suggestion to reconsider these constitutional terms has been widely criticized, leading to calls for the RSS to affirm its commitment to India's foundational values.

In a related move, CPI(M) Rajya Sabha MP Sandosh Kumar wrote to RSS leader Mohan Bhagwat, emphasizing the importance of secularism and socialism as pillars of the nation's integrity. He urged the RSS to respect and uphold the constitutional framework established by visionary leaders.
