In the Lok Sabha, Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju made a plea to the opposition for a smooth debate on Operation Sindoor, amidst political tension regarding the Pahalgam terror attack and the counteractions following it. Rijiju notably urged the opposition not to disrupt the discussion.

Amidst frequent interruptions, the BJP-led government criticized the opposition, especially the Congress, for avoiding a dialogue on Operation Sindoor's success. Congress MP Manickam Tagore accused the government of sidestepping crucial issues, including the Pahalgam attack and diplomatic engagements under former US President Trump.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh commenced the anticipated discussion on Operation Sindoor in Parliament, describing it as a historic military action and lauding the sacrifices of soldiers. According to Singh, the operation was a significant demonstration of India's anti-terrorism stance, hitting terrorist infrastructures with precise strikes.
