In a heated exchange over election integrity, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for unsubstantiated claims of vote rigging in India. Speaking at an event in Patna, Singh challenged Gandhi's assertion of possessing an 'atom bomb' of evidence, demanding immediate disclosure if it exists.

Singh dismissed Gandhi's claims as habitual sensationalism, urging the Congress leader to allow Constitutional bodies to function without interference. He emphasized that respecting these institutions is crucial for the health of the Congress party and Indian democracy as a whole.

Gandhi, addressing a legal conclave, alleged that the election system had collapsed, accusing the Election Commission of complicity in rigging over 80 Lok Sabha seats. He presented findings from a six-month investigation by Congress alleging 1.5 lakh fraudulent votes, signaling systemic flaws in the electoral process.
