PM-KISAN Empowers Arunachal Pradesh Farmers with Financial Assistance

Nearly 1 lakh farmers in Arunachal Pradesh benefit from the PM-KISAN scheme, receiving part of the Rs 20,500 crore disbursed by PM Narendra Modi. This initiative, described as a 'silent revolution', empowers farmers through direct financial support, helping them break free from reliance on moneylenders.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has disbursed approximately Rs 20,500 crore to 9.7 crore farmers across India under the PM-KISAN scheme from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, with 1 lakh beneficiaries in Arunachal Pradesh.

State Agriculture Minister Gabriel Denang Wangsu lauded the scheme's direct financial support, terming it a 'silent revolution.' In Arunachal Pradesh alone, Rs 20 crore was transferred to nearly 99,797 farmers' bank accounts as part of the instalment.

The PM-KISAN scheme, launched in 2019, aims to provide financial stability to farmers by granting them Rs 6,000 annually in three instalments. This initiative supports farmers' agricultural and household needs, reducing their previous reliance on moneylenders.
