Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed his heartfelt condolences on the passing of Shibu Soren, former Jharkhand Chief Minister and founder of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM). Adityanath described Soren as a leader who committed his life to the betterment of tribal communities. He conveyed his sympathies through the social media platform X, wishing peace for Soren's soul and strength for his grieving family.

In another tribute, Jharkhand's first Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Babulal Marandi acknowledged Soren's significant influence on the state's politics. Marandi highlighted the leader's dedication to tribal welfare and expressed sorrow at his passing, describing it as an irreparable loss for Jharkhand.

Shibu Soren, known as the 'Dishom Guruji,' passed away at the age of 81 after a prolonged illness, confirmed by his son and current Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also joined in mourning Soren's death, recalling his dedication to empowering disadvantaged communities. Modi emphasized Soren's role as a grassroots leader who tirelessly championed tribal welfare. He offered words of comfort to Hemant Soren and Soren's family during this challenging time.
