On Tuesday, Archbishop of Ranchi, Vincent Aind, honored JMM founder Shibu Soren, acknowledging his role as a pivotal figure for the people of Chota Nagpur. He lauded Soren's initiative in promoting education and a dignified existence among the tribal communities.
While addressing reporters, Aind proclaimed Soren as a messianic figure succeeding Birsa Munda. He emphasized Soren's influence in fostering cultural pride and educational initiatives that steered the community away from harmful activities like alcohol abuse.
Hemant Soren, Jharkhand's Chief Minister and Shibu Soren's son, took to social media to express deep sorrow at his father's passing. He lamented losing not just a paternal figure, but a cornerstone of Jharkhand's ethos, highlighting his father's journey from humble beginnings to becoming a formidable voice for tribal empowerment.
