Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated the Urban Forest Park in Lambha Ward, Ahmedabad, under a public-private partnership model, marking a significant step toward urban reforestation. The ambitious project, spearheaded by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, underscores the city's commitment to ecological sustainability.

The newly developed forest spans 4,464 square meters and was completed at a cost of ₹55 lakh. It features approximately 8,000 indigenous trees planted using the Miyawaki method, including species such as Teak, Khair, and Bamboo, among others. Additionally, a 250-meter-long walkway enhances the park's appeal to the public.

The initiative is part of the municipal corporation's larger 'Mission Four Million Trees - 2025' campaign, which aims to transform Ahmedabad into a greener city. As of now, 66.77% of the tree plantation target has been achieved, with plans to continue this momentum. Such efforts are pivotal in aligning with the city's vision of becoming India's cleanest and greenest urban area.
