Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary revealed that 23% of the 56.04 crore accounts under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) are currently inactive. Uttar Pradesh leads with the highest number of dormant accounts, followed by Bihar and Madhya Pradesh.
