Jammu and Kashmir's Chief Minister Omar Abdullah conducted a meeting on Wednesday to evaluate the state's financial inclusion schemes and social security coverage. He also assessed the progress of district capex and the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), according to official sources.
During the meeting, the chief minister focused on GST collection and overall revenue generation for the current fiscal year. Principal Secretary (Finance) Santosh D Vaidya presented detailed insights on several key financial and social schemes, highlighting district-wise achievements under capex and CDF initiatives.
CM Abdullah stressed the need for all departments to concentrate on revenue realization and progress monitoring on a monthly basis. He warned against delaying these evaluations till the fiscal year's final months, urging immediate action to improve revenue figures and social welfare coverage, with a comprehensive monthly plan in place by each department.
