Sweeping Reforms: DoHFW Embarks on Special Campaign 5.0 for Cleaner Governance
The Department of Health and Family Welfare launches Special Campaign 5.0 in October, targeting cleaner workspaces and efficient governance. The campaign focuses on institutionalising cleanliness, reducing pendency, and reviewing numerous files and processes to boost citizen-centric administration.

The Department of Health and Family Welfare, in collaboration with Central Government Hospitals, Autonomous Bodies, and CPSUs, is set to roll out Special Campaign 5.0 from October 2-31. The initiative aims to institutionalise cleanliness and reduce pending matters within government offices.
According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the campaign is spearheaded by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances. It emphasizes the resolution of public grievances and appeals to enhance transparent governance. DoHFW is targeting the cleanup of 1,454 sites while also focusing on the disposal of e-waste to generate revenue and free up office space.
Moreover, the review of over 15,000 physical files and 3,279 electronic files, and the simplification of 11 rules, highlight DoHFW's commitment to streamlining processes for effective citizen-centric service delivery. This effort underscores the department's dedication to efficiency and responsive administration.
