In a groundbreaking move, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has launched its inaugural Advanced Certificate program in Quantum Computing: Algorithms and AI/ML. Aimed at helping professionals excel in the burgeoning quantum era, the course offers an in-depth exploration from quantum internet protocols to quantum machine learning through practical projects utilizing cutting-edge tools like Qiskit, PennyLane, and IBM Quantum Systems.

Spanning 6.5 months, this online course, delivered by TimesPro in collaboration with IIT Roorkee's Continuing Education Centre, is meticulously crafted to prepare participants for impactful roles in quantum research and development, as well as secure technology and AI innovation. The curriculum integrates the principles of quantum computing, secure communication, and AI/ML applications, enabling learners to develop projects in finance, healthcare, and other critical sectors while mastering IBM's and D-Wave's quantum systems.

Prof. Kaushik Ghosh of IIT Roorkee articulated the program's mission to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical deployment. By providing students access to industry-standard tools, the course empowers them to design, simulate, and benchmark quantum algorithms, and to apply AI/ML methods where quantum advantages are becoming evident, preparing them for strategic positions within evolving industries.
