MCA Steps Up: Aiding Maharashtra's Rain-ravaged Farmers

The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has stepped forward to support Maharashtra's rain-stricken farmers by contributing Rs 1.25 crore to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund. This generous donation was formalized with the presentation of a cheque to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis by MCA President Ajinkya Naik.

The donation, consisting of Rs 1 crore from the MCA and Rs 25 lakh from Mumbai's senior cricketers, underscores the association and its players' commitment to standing in solidarity with the state's beleaguered farming community during this critical time.

Coinciding with this gesture, Chief Minister Fadnavis announced a Rs 31,628 crore relief package for farmers affected by the rains, with cash aid and additional support through MGNREGA to mitigate losses across 29 districts, evidencing the government's broader commitment to alleviating the crisis.
