A 55-year-old man, Arvind Kumar Subah, employed as an Under Secretary with the Government of India, was discovered unconscious inside his Palam Village residence on Sunday morning. Despite efforts to revive him, he was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital, according to police reports.
The incident unfolded when a PCR call was made to the Palam Village Police Station around 8:20 am, reporting an unconscious individual in a room. Emergency responders, including law enforcement and the fire department, quickly arrived at the scene. The fire team accessed the premises by breaking open an upper window, discovering the man unresponsive on the floor.
Subah, who had been living alone during his family's absence in Bihar for the Diwali celebrations, was transferred to DDU Hospital, where doctors confirmed his death. Preliminary investigations revealed he had a history of seizures and liver issues, which might have contributed to his sudden passing. The family, notified immediately, arrived back in Delhi via flight around 2:00 PM. The police have commenced an inquest to establish the precise circumstances behind this untimely death.
