EU Approves 19th Sanctions Package Against Russia

The European Union reached a milestone with the approval of its 19th sanctions package against Russia. The Danish rotating presidency confirmed the development on Wednesday.
The announcement came after the final member state lifted its reservation, paving the way for the new sanctions aimed at addressing Russia's aggressive actions in Ukraine.
A written procedure for Council approval is underway, and if no objections are lodged by 8 am, the package will be formally adopted, marking a continued EU stance against Russian hostilities.
