The recent surge in Russian offensives has crippled Ukrainian gas production by 55%, prompting calls for a 30% rise in imports, announced the country's central bank and energy officials.

Despite housing the largest gas storage facilities in Europe, Ukraine's reserves were only 28% full as of October 22, prompting plans to source additional gas worth $2 billion from Europe, the U.S., and Azerbaijan this winter, stated President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.
