Shimla is set to host a grand two-day celebration commemorating the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, the ninth Sikh Guru revered as the 'Protector of India.' Thousands are expected to gather at the Ridge Ground on November 1 and 2, where the event will include a large Nagar Kirtan and community Langar.
The festivities, declared a state-level event by Himachal Pradesh's government, will be attended by Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, and other dignitaries. Various religious and social bodies, such as Sud Sabha and Sanatan Dharma Sabha, have pledged their support.
