Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday took part in the 'Sardar@150 Unity March (Padyatra)' at Vadodara, Gujarat. The march, which started from Sardar Patel's family home in Karamsad, aims to cover nearly 190 kilometers over 11 days, concluding at the Statue of Unity on December 6.

During the event themed 'Kashmir, Hyderabad and Sardar,' Sinha highlighted that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel ensured Jammu and Kashmir remained an integral part of India despite not directly managing its affairs. He argued that if Patel had managed Kashmir's integration, its history might have been different, noting Patel's opposition to Jawaharlal Nehru's policies.

The Lieutenant Governor underlined that Patel's ideals continue to shape India. He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for realizing Patel's vision with actions like the abrogation of Article 370 and implementing initiatives such as 'One Nation, One Tax' and 'One Nation, One Health Card,' all contributing to national unity.
