A scandal involving fabricated court judgments to help Santosh Verma secure an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) promotion has emerged. Public prosecutor in Indore, Abhijeet Singh Rathore, revealed compelling evidence indicating that Verma conspired with Judge Vijendra Singh Rawat to attain his goal by manipulating legal outcomes.
The accusations against Verma originate from a case initiated by his wife at the Lasudia police station. Allegedly, Verma and Rawat collaborated to fabricate judgments that would clear Verma's path for promotion. Investigations led by the police, authorized by the High Court, have resulted in Rawat's suspension and raised the potential for his arrest.
This complicated case is under the purview of the MG Road police station, with Verma currently out on bail granted by the Supreme Court. Meanwhile, Verma has drawn further controversy due to offensive remarks made at a recent convention, attacking social harmony, prompting a show-cause notice and further calls for investigation by MP Janardan Mishra.
