Parliament is set to host a special debate commemcing December 8 to commemorate the 150th anniversary of 'Vande Mataram'. Key figures, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will address the Lok Sabha, with eight Congress leaders also scheduled to participate.
The debate will span ten hours, with the BJP allotted three hours. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will conclude the discussion, which will continue until the session ends on December 19.
In the Rajya Sabha, Home Minister Amit Shah will open a similar discussion on Tuesday. Celebrations mark the song's deep-rooted significance in India's civilizational and cultural landscape.
