Kshema Power, the Chennai-based engineering firm, announced on Thursday that it has secured a contract to develop a power substation for a 350 MW wind-solar hybrid project in Madhya Pradesh. Awarded by Oyster Green Hybrid Three Pvt Ltd, the project aims to enhance India's clean energy capabilities.
The contract involves the supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of a 51-kilometre transmission line, alongside the design and installation of a 33 kV/220 kV AIS substation. This infrastructure will support the efficient integration of wind and solar power into the grid, a statement from the company detailed.
Scheduled for completion by July 2026, the collaborative effort between Oyster Green Hybrid Three and Kshema Power seeks to bolster renewable energy evacuation in India. Abhinand Basant of Kshema Power emphasized the initiative's role in strengthening India's capacity for hybrid projects, aligning with the nation's energy transition goals.
