Uttarakhand Launches Ambitious Aroma Revolution Policy for Economic Growth

On Saturday, Uttarakhand's Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami unveiled the Aroma Revolution Policy, a visionary initiative targeting the development of seven aroma valleys across the state. By 2036, the state seeks to expand its aromatic crop business from Rs 100 crore to Rs 1,200 crore.

The first phase includes significant developments in regions like Pithoragarh, Chamoli, and Udham Singh Nagar. The policy will provide nursery development support, training, crop insurance, and essential subsidies to farmers, aiming to connect approximately one lakh farmers and cultivate around 23,000 hectares.

During the launch, an MoU was signed between the Aroma Plant Centre and Dabur India Limited to foster collaboration in research, marketing, and human resource development. The initiative is part of a broader strategy to gain international recognition and boost the local economy significantly.
