Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar made a significant visit to Bodhgaya's revered Mahabodhi Temple on Wednesday, where he offered prayers and participated in ceremonies under the venerable Bodhi tree. Known as 'Vikas Purush', this marks Kumar's first visit since forming the new government in Bihar, a state he seeks to propel towards greater peace and prosperity.
The Chief Minister's delegation was welcomed at the temple by Arvind Kumar Singh from the Bodhgaya Temple Management Committee. Singh emphasized the visit's importance, noting Kumar's dedication to spreading Lord Buddha's message of peace amidst global unrest. In a firm step towards development, Nitish Kumar announced the ambitious 7 Nischay-3 program, highlighting its crucial role in enhancing Bihar's socio-economic landscape.
The 7 Nischay-3 initiative follows the successful rollouts of its predecessors, implemented between 2015-2025. Aimed at doubling the per capita income through employment initiatives, the scheme underscores the empowerment of women via financial incentives. A recent socio-economic survey will guide the plan to reach 9.4 million prioritized families, reaffirming Kumar's commitment to inclusive growth for Bihar.
