Renewable energy firm ACME Solar has announced the commencement of operations for a 68-MW segment of their wind power project in Gujarat's Surendranagar, part of an overall 100-MW initiative.

This phased project is spearheaded by their subsidiary, ACME Eco Clean Energy Pvt Ltd. The company completed an additional 12 MW in the last development phase, bringing operational capacity to 68 MW.

Electricity generated will be distributed via a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited, financed by the Power Finance Corporation. ACME Solar continues to expand its renewable energy portfolio, currently boasting operational capacity of 2,958 MW.
