After an exhaustive month-long chase, Jaipur Police successfully apprehended Dinesh, the driver of an Audi involved in a deadly hit-and-run incident last January. Dinesh, the primary suspect, had been evading capture even as a ₹25,000 reward for his arrest was declared.
Station House Officer Madanlal Kadwasra revealed the accused had initially escaped to Haridwar post-accident. However, his return to Rajasthan in search of financial assistance led to his eventual capture near the Ring Road, following a crucial tip-off.
Authorities confirmed eight arrests connected to the crime, which resulted in one fatality and injuries to 12 others. Despite these efforts, Mangelal, another suspect, remains at large as investigations continue into this tragic case. The case has seen involvement from various accomplices, including a constable.
