On Sunday, Uttarakhand Governor Lieutenant General Gurmit Singh (Retd) faced a precarious situation when his helicopter made an emergency landing in the town of Srinagar, Pauri Garhwal, due to technical complications. The Pauri Garhwal Circle Officer, Anuj Kumar, confirmed the landing at the GVK helipad, and immediate safety measures were implemented.

According to police reports, the helicopter encountered technical malfunctions during its flight, prompting a precautionary landing to ensure the Governor's safety. Kumar stated to ANI, 'The Governor's helicopter landed at the GVK helipad and the administration is taking necessary action. He is currently in a safe house.'

Governor Singh was then transported to the Police Guest House in Srinagar. Concurrently, he extended his greetings to women worldwide on International Women's Day, while attending the Himalayan O2 Tehri Lake Festival. Celebrating local culture, the festival includes adventure sports and tourism-related events, continuing until March 9.
