Qatar's Energy Standstill Amidst Regional Turmoil
Qatar has paused its full energy supplies due to regional instability, including attacks on facilities and maritime challenges. The Gulf nation, responsible for 20% of global LNG exports, declared force majeure last week amidst ongoing conflict involving the U.S. and Israel against Iran.

Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani announced that Qatar will resume full energy supplies when regional conditions become stable, as reported by the foreign ministry on Monday.
He emphasized Qatar's commitment to global energy market stability, but noted that current circumstances, including attacks and maritime challenges in the Gulf, necessitate safeguarding personnel on energy infrastructure.
Last week, Qatar, contributing about 20% of the world's liquefied natural gas exports, declared force majeure amid the continuing U.S.-Israeli conflict with Iran, halting its LNG production.
