In Telangana, the supply of LPG cooking gas remains stable despite global disruptions, according to a senior official from the Civil Supplies Department. This reassurance comes as concerns rise over a potential shortage impacting domestic and commercial sectors.
M Stephen Raveendra, the Civil Supplies Department Commissioner, emphasized that oil marketing companies continue to supply 2.3 lakh cylinders daily. He urged the public to remain calm and warned that strict measures would be taken against those found hoarding or engaging in black marketing.
Nationally, the government has prioritized sustaining domestic supply lines amid potential threats to global fuel lifelines, particularly impacting commercial sectors like hospitality. The central government has instituted a committee to investigate the concerns after restaurant associations highlighted the risks of operational shutdowns.
